Spanish Accountant

We are looking for a numbers ninja that loves technology and embraces the digital world to join the accounting department of our Spanish product. If you know everything about accounting, feel like fish in the water preparing and submitting reports for freelancers in Spain (autónomos), know everything about VAT and European regulations, and have experience with international business and companies, take a step forward! You will be in charge of growing the accounting department of our Spanish product, empowering entrepreneurs and freelancers of the digital age to launch and run their businesses online with us. Responsibilites
  • Prepare and post all accounting entries, including tax, pension, payroll, Intermediation, and Treasury.
  • Perform monthly Balance-Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Support preparation of the statutory accounts and statistical reporting required by local authorities
  • Manage Fixed Assets process.
  • Analise and document Balance-Sheet positions.
  • Perform monthly Balance-Sheet Reconciliation.
  • Cooperate with other team members and finalize the monthly closing reporting.
  • Prepare the quarterly closing files for internal controls.
  • Cooperate with the team and provide support when needed.
  • Provide and review the information required for corporate Tax and VAT submissions.
  • Perform the necessary procedures for the incorporation of the business activity of the customer with the relevant authorities (social security office, tax office, etc
  • Prepare the quarterly closing files for internal controls.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly reports as required by the authorities.
  • Manage tax and VAT-related queries
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics.
  • Fluency in the Spanish language.
  • Fluency in the English language.
Experience ✍️
  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and submission of reports for freelancers of at least 2 years.
